Kagome

Personally, I think she's kind of cool, but most Inuyasha fans call her a bitch and a whole lot of other words I rather not mention.
People's! She's the reincarnation of Kikyo! She's cool!! But of course all fan girls hate her because she gets to be with Inuyasha...and all gay men are jealous of her and Miroku.

Kagome Higarashi is the full name of this 15 year old girl. She one day followed her cat, whose name I again forgot, a demond pulls her in . Anyways, once she's down there the power of the Shikkon Jewel activates (the jewel's inside of her) and ten it drags her ass through to a different time.
There, she ends up freeing a dog demon named Inuyasha who mistook her for Kikyo, the reason he was stuck to a tree.

Once Inuyasha and Kagome worked things out they ended up traveling together to recover the Jewel Shards. The Shikkon Jewel had been shattered in to god knows how many damn pieces by one Kagome's magical arrows. Anyways, she's cool and when she yells sit to Inuyasha, it's hilarious. Only thing Inuyasha doesn't like about her is her quick-temper, which tends to scare everyone else too. I'd like to say that throughout the series she's pretty much useless, but the fact that she's from the modern time helps out a lot, and sometimes it saves the day.

She's not good at close combat (duh), she's just good at figuring out things and killing demons with her magical arrows. The reason she can use her spiritual energy as a weapon is because she is the reincarnation of Kikyo, and old, but powerful priestess. Whenever Kagome shoots arrows they can have an after effect besides making the target bleed. For example: Inuyasha was stuck to the tree by one of Kikyo's arrows. I forgot what she called that particular attack, but that is one of them. Another would be just a basic attack that destroys whatever it touches. But with high enough spiritual energy one arrow could do a lot of damage.

Throughout the series a lot of demons and high-ranked men want Kagome because of her ability to be able to see the Shikkon Jewel Shards.

Sango

Demon Exterminator.

She's a woman who takes charge, she's fantastic in combat, she helps out plenty throughout the series, but mostly in protecting Kagome. Sango doesn't meet up with Inuyasha until she trifles with Naraku. Sango was ordered to take out a demon, her whole family was a pack of exterminators. Naraku decided to play a little and he killed Sango's younger brother Kohaku, but before that Naraku had taken control of Kohaku and made him kill his comrades. Though Sango was good enough to dodge him and pin him to the floor. Anyways Kohaku is now completely under Naraku's control.

Sango then comes across Inuyasha, of course at fist she tries to kill him, but it's only because she was badly informed of him. After she discovered the truth she joined up with him.

She carries around with her a huge boomerang made of demons' bones and when her boomerang fails she has her sword. Sango is a very calm woman, the only reason she ever gets mad is because of Miroku. She's either jealous because of his flirting or she just wants to slap the living crap out of him.

Shippo

A cute full fox demon.

He's not really good in combat, but he's great to have around and he can be useful at times. His main ability is shapeshifting, which is how he met Inuyasha. After Inuyasha figured out Shippou, Shippou asked a favor of Inuyasha. To take down a pair of brother to avenge his fallen father.

In taking down these brothers, Inuyasha shows a very tender and caring side. After he fought, he thought that Kagome and Shippou had died and vanished. While he was yelling 'sorry' and 'don't leave me!' Shippou and Kagome were standing right behind him. =^_^=
Other attacks that Shippou knows is Fox Fire and his small objects (toys).

Later in the series he wants to learn Inuyasha's Wind Scar, in the end Shippou ends up getting his heart broken by a village girl so he ends up learning the Heart Scar.

Throughout the series, he just hangs out, but in the movies he proves to be very useful.

Miroku

"Will you bear my children?"

This is Miroku's famous question, he's quite the lady's man unless he runs into someone he knows. The cursed monk is a very smart guy and on his right hand he possesses the Wind Tunnel. Like his father Miroku was cursed with this. Naraku (main villain) is to be killed to get rid of the wind tunnel. Once he starts talking about his past he can actually be very sensitive, but either way he always ends up being slapped by Sango the guy has a case of Roman fingers, he tends to rub Sango's butt, she naturally gets pissed then slaps him.

Though Miroku is greedy (somewhat), he actually cares (sometimes). He goes around performing 'exorcisms' then he gets to stay in the village where he will perform his magic. Thug most of the exorcisms he performs are a ways to just get a place to crash in, he is a very powerful monk.
Also, with his speed and that staff of his, he's great in close combat too.

The way he mets Inuyasha is because they find out that they're both after Naraku, so they join up and start traveling together.

Canti (カンチ, Kanchi), is a medical robot with what looks like a television for a head. He was manufactured by Medical Mechanica, but taken over by Atomk as a way to escape MM. After having his head broken by Haruko he is recruited by her as an assistant, however he proves to be no good for much other than washingdishes and fetching drinks for the family. It is later revealed that Atomsk can manifest through him, with Naota being the catalyst. Atomsk's symbol appears on Canti's screen when he absorbs Naota; The symbol is a coruption of the kanji characters "adult" (大人). This symbol also appears on him when Naota "swings the bat" in Full Swing and when Canti is absorbed by the terminal core in FLCLimax.
The emotions of Canti are very human-like, despite his looks. He is embarassed aobut his broken head (where Haruko hit him) and is looking for the pieces to glue back together in episode two. He wears the box on the back of his head for the same reason>> shame. He is also extremely polite, extending a helping hand to Lieutenant Kitsurbami even after she attempted to destroy him.
He's the sweetest thing in this series, really.
A notable power of Canti is the fact that he can fuse with Naota-san, and with other robots; also his incredible strength.

Naota-san

Naota Nandaba (ナンダバ・ナオ太, Nandaba Naota), 12, is the main character. His name is derived from the Japanese word "honesty" and his father named him Naota because of that (fooly cooly). Unbeknownst to him, he has the "right kind of head" to be used as an N.O. Channel. He is obssesed with appearing mature and attempts to act nonchalant. This is most expressed in his monologues which open and close each episode where he continues to claim that "nothing amazimg ever happens here" despite the show's surreal and often absurd happenings. I mean take this: a pink-haired woman runs you over on her vespa, you're okay, you get up and you expect her to ask you if you're okay. But instead she knocks the hell out of you with her guitar. Then she makes some alien-robot thing come out of your head, which in the end tries 'smoothing' out the world; would you say nothing ever happens to you if that happened to you? As you can tell, Naota is anything but an adult.
In the beginnin of the series, he is disturbed by Haruko's prescence, but throughout he realizes his feelings towards her and admits it in the last episode, so there are only six episodes.
A notable power of his is that he can fuse with Canti to access Atmosk's power.

Haruko-san

Haruko Haruhara (ハルハラ・ハル子, Haruhara Haruko), 19 (or so she claims), is an energetic, spontatneous pink-haired girl from outer-space and investigator for the Galactic Space Brotherhood/Stellar Fraternity. Mamimi observes that she looks at least twenty years old but, considering that she is of an unknows alien species, neither Mamimi nor the viewer has a relevant frame of reference. She rides a yellow Paggio Vespa and wields a blue, upside down strung, right handed Rickenbacker bass guitar modol 4001, with a pull-cord motor on the back, as a bizarre weapon of sorts. Her guitar is able to shoot bullets, act as a rocket launcher, fly and is used several times ot open a N.O. Channel in Naota's forehead. She leaves it for a more powerful double-necked guitar when she departs from Earth in Episode 6.
Haruko-san is one of my all-time favorite characters, so freakin' awsome.
She does not think before she acts, and is very impulsive. ^_^

FLCL

The series focuses on Nandaba Naota, a twelve-year-old boy living in the fictional and initially tranquil Japanese suburb of Mabase. Naota lives with his lecherous, perverted father Kamon and his baseball-coaching grandfather Shigekuni at the family bakery and home. He greatly admires his older brother Tasuku, a baseball phenomenon who has gone to the United States to play the game (an unseen character). Naota's daily routine involves going to school, dealing with his brother's sexually frustrated high school girlfriend Samejima Mamimi, and going home. Naota seems to be very frustrated with his life, and in the opening episode is musing about how constrictive and boring Mabase is. This complaint is borne through to the final episode, despite many examples to the contrary. Naota's life is turned upside down in the first episode when he is hit by a Vespa driven by the rebellious free spirit known as Haruhara Haruko, a woman who later becomes his housekeeper, though she may not be what she appears to be.
Though the series only contains seven episodes or six, I keep forgetting, it's awsome, so random and everything flying around, it's one of the best anime on earth today. Even if it short. It's a must see for any animefreak.
